Couple years ago, my friend Dima showed me his pictures of a German forest – strikingly beautiful images.
Ever since, in addition to embracing trees and talking to them as I always did, I’ve been trying to photograph some of them, here and there.
Trees tell me about silence and rumors, resistance and loyalty, loss and strength. Trees whisper, dance and observe. They keep impenetrable mysteries. They tell me about life and death.
The birds they sang At the break of day Start again I heard them say Don't dwell on what has passed away Or what is yet to be Ah, the wars they will be fought again The holy dove, she will be caught again Bought and sold, and bought again The dove is never free
Let’s go into the woods, and celebrate life and death along our paths.

So set your restless heart at ease
Take a lesson from these Autumn leaves
They waste no time waiting for the snow
Don’t argue now you’ll be late
There is nothing to investigate
It’s light enough, light enough
To let it go
Light enough to let it go
– The smokey life, Leonard Cohen
