H I P N Ó T I C O

This series is dedicated to Mexico.

When it got completed, I was feeling like I could finally drop off my luggages after a long journey. I was happy, satisfied, though exhausted and homesick.

Then I spent a good night sleeping for long hours. I didn’t even make this recurring dream that I had during last months. On those mild and restless nights in Roma Norte, I would leave my room to wander along Avenida Álvaro Obregón, sometimes until the early morning.

I’ve been missing those faces and eyes I’d crossed, abundant both in joy and sorrow, hope and despair. I’ve been missing that vivid life celebrated in so many colors, songs and churches.

Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic till I’m gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

BLANC

Oh, let me see your beauty when the witnesses are gone
Let me feel you moving like they do in Babylon
Show me slowly what I only know the limits of
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Dance me to the wedding now, dance me on and on
Dance me very tenderly and dance me very long
We’re both of us beneath our love, we’re both of us above
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

– Dance me to the end of love, Leonard Cohen
